My experience spans 20 years leading and managing diverse teams locally and abroad, predominantly in businesses with 400+ employees across various backgrounds, genders, experience levels and age groups.
Having previously work as a General Manager and more recently as Chief People Officer, my focus has always been on how pivotal HR functions impact a businesses ability to not only grow, but continue to attract, engage and retain people at all levels of the organisation. Giving me a unique understanding of the link between people, performance and profitability.
In my experience, it is too often that businesses disconnect from the people we are here to grow and serve as leaders - spending too much time focused solely on numbers and strategy and forgetting about the humans that are in the centre of every decision we make. As the saying goes “Culture eats strategy for breakfast”.
I truly believe that people are a company’s greatest asset. If you want to grow your business, you need to start focusing on how you can grow your team and set them up for success in their roles by focusing not on their weaknesses, but their strengths - by unlocking the potential in our people, we unlock the potential of our business. Because, as our people grow, so does our business.
